The International Journal of Neighbourhood Renewal has five key objectives that guide the submission of articles within the Journal itself:

  1. The Journal is committed to supporting good practice in the development and implementation of effective neighbourhood renewal strategies.
  2. The Journal is committed to supporting the development of research from all relevant sectors that will lead to a better understanding of the problems that affect deprived neighbourhoods.
  3. The Journal is committed to supporting journal submissions from a range of sectors involved in the development and implementation of neighbourhood renewal strategies including community groups, voluntary organisations, university research students, research institutions, federal regeneration agencies and local municipalities.
  4. The Journal is committed to promoting good research and practice and submissions to the journal must be of a high research and ethical standard.
  5. The Journal encourages authors of articles that are published in the Journal to present their findings to a range of media and audiences, including presenting their findings to the Annual Conference of the Journal.
